In this week’s video we cover the 4 must-haves for a great kettlebell swing. Check it out:
Let’s review the 4 Must-Haves for a Great Kettlebell Swing:
- Use a consistent set-up. Look it doesn’t need to be the one that we show in the video, but make it the same, every time.
- Practice the hike. It’s important to have a solid hike, as this is the start and the finish of your swings. Grooving the hike will create more consistency in the kettlebell swing itself.
- Drive the floor away. It’s important that you don’t try and lift the kettlebell with your arms. A proper kettlebell swing is executed by the legs/hips, with arms keeping the kettlebell from flying across the room.
- Park the bell. This comes back to the hike. Park the kettlebell, after the backswing, just like a hike that didn’t lead to the full kettlebell swing.
Practice these 4 must-haves for the kettlebell swing, and you’ll be on your way to a great swing!
