Video: 4 Must-Haves for a Great Kettlebell Swing

Are you doing all of them well?

In this week’s video we cover the 4 must-haves for a great kettlebell swing.  Check it out:

Let’s review the 4 Must-Haves for a Great Kettlebell Swing:

  1. Use a consistent set-up.  Look it doesn’t need to be the one that we show in the video, but make it the same, every time.
  2. Practice the hike.  It’s important to have a solid hike, as this is the start and the finish of your swings.  Grooving the hike will create more consistency in the kettlebell swing itself.
  3. Drive the floor away.  It’s important that you don’t try and lift the kettlebell with your arms.  A proper kettlebell swing is executed by the legs/hips, with arms keeping the kettlebell from flying across the room.
  4. Park the bell.  This comes back to the hike.  Park the kettlebell, after the backswing, just like a hike that didn’t lead to the full kettlebell swing.

Practice these 4 must-haves for the kettlebell swing, and you’ll be on your way to a great swing!
