Quick Snack!

Hey guys, happy Friday!  I just wanted to drop a quick snack recipe (with video) on you before you rush off to have too much fun on the long weekend.  Who doesn’t like Lara Bars?  Well, I’m about to show how quick and easy they are to make on your own!

These things are great for a quick snack, and you can come up with endless combinations of “recipes.”  Have one you really like?  Let us know down below (bonus points for rhyming).

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2-3 handfuls of your favorite nuts (preferably raw, unsalted)- in this video I use peanuts, not the greatest choice, but I was making the chocolate peanut butter bar
  • a handful of dates or prunes- I personally like dates better
  • a handful of chocolate chips
  • a magic bullet, rocket, or some other type of food processor

Throw all of the ingredients into the food processor and grind it up!  Once it reaches a smooth consistency, press it into a small container or zip-lock bag, refrigerate it, and enjoy!!
