You’re never going to be “ready,” for whatever it is you want to do.  Fat loss, strength, getting out of that job you hate… you just have to start.  But fear is a dream-killer, and most of us give in before we ever get going.

Some of the best transformations we’ve ever been involved with, here at Beyond Strength Performance NOVA, have come by way of slight changes carried out over an extended period of time.  You don’t need to have all of the answers, just the one answer that you’ll get started on, right now.

Want to lose body fat?  Don’t get caught up in getting everything right.  Pick something and get to work.  When it becomes second-nature, pick the next thing you’ll add to the mix.

  • Start a food journal
  • Eat mindfully
  • Eat more veggies
  • Have protein with every meal
  • Consume healthy fats
  • Portion your carbs
  • Consume plenty of water
  • Train for strength, hypertrophy, and use inefficient exercise
  • Do something active most every day, even if for just 30 minutes

These are the exact things that coach Chris, right here at BSP NOVA, implemented to have a massive transformation over the last year.

After getting the gym going, Chris fell into the mindset trap of thinking that little, negative decisions wouldn’t add up over time.  But as you can see, little decisions over a number of years can take you in the wrong direction.

The good news is that this works in the opposite way as well.  Little, positive decisions carried out over a long period of time can have a huge impact on where you’re headed.  It’s called the Slight Edge Principle:

This is what separates the successful transformations from the not-so-great ones.  Small choices do add up- one way or another, compounding over extended periods of time.  What you think, say, and do today will impact your tomorrow- you just won’t notice it right away…
